CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfc: nci: free skb on nci_transceive early error paths
nci_transceive() takes ownership of the skb passed by the caller,
but the -EPROTO, -EINVAL, and -EBUSY error paths return without
freeing it.
Due to issues clearing NCI_DATA_EXCHANGE fixed by subsequent changes
the nci/nci_dev selftest hits the error path occasionally in NIPA,
and kmemleak detects leaks:

| When an application tells libcurl it wants to allow HTTP/2 server push, and the amount of received headers for the push surpasses the maximum allowed limit (1000), libcurl aborts the server push. When aborting, libcurl inadvertently does not free all the previously allocated headers and instead leaks the memory. Further, this error condition fails silently and is therefore not easily detected by an application. |
| The Bluetooth Mesh Access layer delayable-message machinery in subsys/bluetooth/mesh/delayable_msg.c manages a static pool of CONFIG_BT_MESH_ACCESS_DELAYABLE_MSG_COUNT message contexts (default 4) threaded onto a free_ctx or busy_ctx list. release_delayable_msg_ctx() returned a context to free_ctx only when sys_slist_find_and_remove() found it on busy_ctx. The chunk-exhaustion error path in bt_mesh_delayable_msg_manage() releases a context that was already popped off free_ctx but not yet inserted on busy_ctx, so the context was appended to neither list and was permanently lost from the pool. Because bt_mesh_delayable_msg_init() runs only once from bt_mesh_init(), and node reset/suspend only drain busy_ctx, the loss survives unprovision, re-provision and suspend/resume — it is cleared only by a reboot.
The error path is reached when the chunk pool (CONFIG_BT_MESH_ACCESS_DELAYABLE_MSG_CHUNK_COUNT, default 40 chunks) is short of the chunks a new delayed message needs and the oldest pending message cannot be flushed because bt_mesh_access_send() returns -EBUSY or -ENOBUFS (all segmented-TX contexts busy, or advertising/segment buffers exhausted). A peer that is provisioned into the mesh network — holding a valid NetKey plus an AppKey or DevKey bound to a server model — can drive both conditions by flooding the victim with requests that elicit segmented responses while withholding the Segment Acknowledgment, which keeps the transmit contexts occupied while queued responses hold the chunk pool. Each further request that arrives in that window leaks one context.
Once the pool is drained, bt_mesh_delayable_msg_manage() returns -ENOMEM for every subsequent send and bt_mesh_model_send() propagates that error with no fallback to an immediate transmit. Since CONFIG_BT_MESH_ACCESS_DELAYABLE_MSG and CONFIG_BT_MESH_ACCESS_DELAYABLE_MSG_CTX_ENABLED are both enabled by default, ctx->rnd_delay is set for every received access message, so all replies from Configuration Server, Health Server and application server models are silently dropped. The node keeps receiving and processing traffic but never answers, a persistent denial of service until the device is restarted. There is no memory corruption, information disclosure or integrity impact; releases before the fix compute the chunk count from the transmit buffer capacity rather than its payload length, making chunk-pool starvation — and therefore the leak — considerably easier to provoke. |
| xmlParseBalancedChunkMemoryRecover in parser.c in libxml2 before 2.9.10 has a memory leak related to newDoc->oldNs. |
| OWASP Coraza WAF is a golang modsecurity compatible web application firewall library. From 3.0.0 until 3.8.0, the multipart loop in internal/bodyprocessors/multipart.go executes defer temp.Close() for every uploaded file part, so each temporary-file descriptor remains open until the complete request returns. An unauthenticated attacker can submit a multipart body containing many minimal file parts and exhaust the process file-descriptor table within the request-body size limit, causing os.CreateTemp failures, MULTIPART_STRICT_ERROR responses, blocked legitimate uploads, and process-wide inability to open files or sockets. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.0. |
| ImageMagick before 7.1.2-32 contains a memory leak vulnerability in the -process option that allows attackers to cause unreleased memory allocations by supplying certain arguments. Attackers can repeatedly invoke the -process option with crafted arguments to gradually exhaust memory and degrade service availability. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-57 and 7.x before 7.1.2-32 contains a memory leak in the PNG encoder, which does not release allocated memory when libpng initialization fails. Attackers who can repeatedly trigger PNG encoding operations in which libpng initialization fails can exhaust memory and cause a denial of service. |
| Strawberry GraphQL is a library for creating GraphQL APIs. From 0.312.3 until 0.327.2, the legacy graphql-ws subscription handler in strawberry/subscriptions/protocols/graphql_ws/handlers.py does not remove naturally completed operations from self.tasks and self.subscriptions. When max_subscriptions_per_connection is configured, a client on a persistent WebSocket connection can use distinct operation IDs for one-shot subscriptions to fill the connection's configured slots even after those subscriptions send complete, causing later legitimate operations on that connection to be rejected with Subscription limit reached. The modern graphql-transport-ws protocol and deployments without the configured per-connection cap are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.327.2. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-57 and 7.x before 7.1.2-32 contains a memory leak in the wavelet-denoise operation, which fails to release allocated memory when a required resource cannot be acquired. Attackers can repeatedly trigger wavelet-denoise processing under resource-constrained conditions to leak memory and degrade service availability. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-57 and 7.x before 7.1.2-32 contains a memory leak in the YUV encoder, which fails to release allocated memory when a specific operation fails. Attackers can supply crafted input that triggers the failing encoder operation, leaking memory and potentially exhausting resources to cause a denial of service. |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. A local user can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by exploiting a race condition in the autofs responder between asynchronous enumeration completion and map invalidation. By repeatedly sending concurrent map enumeration and invalidation requests, an attacker can cause memory to leak, leading to excessive memory consumption that can disrupt or crash the autofs service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gpio: aggregator: remove the software node when deactivating the aggregator
The dynamic software node we create for the aggregator platform device
when using configfs is leaked when the device is deactivated. Destroy it
as the last step in the tear-down path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/xe/oa: Fix exec_queue leak on width check in stream open
In xe_oa_stream_open_ioctl(), when param.exec_q->width > 1 the
function returns -EOPNOTSUPP directly, skipping the existing
err_exec_q cleanup path. The exec_queue reference obtained by
xe_exec_queue_lookup() is leaked.
The exec queue holds a reference on the xe_file, which is only
dropped during queue teardown. The leaked lookup ref is not on
the file's exec_queue xarray, so file close cannot release it.
This keeps both the exec queue and the file private state pinned
indefinitely.
Jump to err_exec_q instead of returning directly so the reference
is released.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ethtool: module: avoid leaking a netdev ref on module flash errors
module_flash_fw_schedule() is missing undo for setting
the "in_progress" flag and taking the netdev reference.
Delay taking these, the device can't disappear while
we are holding rtnl_lock. |
| Pydantic AI is a Python agent framework for building applications and workflows with Generative AI. From 2.10.0 until 2.53.0, streamed requests made through ConcurrencyLimitedModel or limit_model_concurrency can retain shared concurrency slots because anyio.CapacityLimiter associates an acquired slot with the borrowing task while streaming cleanup can run in a different task. Early stream termination, cancellation, consumer exceptions, or complete stream_text() consumption with debounce_by=0.1 can therefore leave capacity occupied, eventually preventing later requests that share the long-lived limiter from proceeding and causing a denial of service. Agent-level max_concurrency and non-streaming model requests are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 2.53.0. |
| IBM Power Systems Firmware FW1110.00 through FW1110.31, FW1120.00 through FW1120.01, and FW1060.00 through FW1060.81 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to cause a denial of service by exhausting connection resources due to improper resource management. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: cleanup arsta in ath11k_mac_peer_cleanup_all()
When mac80211 removes a sta, it calls .sta_state() which in turn calls
ath11k_mac_station_remove(). In that function we clean up both peers &
arsta related resources.
But when the firmware crashes, ath11k calls ieee80211_restart_hw(), which
assumes that all driver related resources are cleaned up beforehand. This
cleanup is supposedly done by ath11k_mac_peer_cleanup_all() but does not
in fact free arsta->rx_stats / tx_stats.
Extract the arsta cleanup from ath11k_mac_station_remove() into a
new ath11k_mac_station_cleanup() and call it from both there and
ath11k_mac_peer_cleanup_all().
This should handle kmemleaks reports like:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm: Fix drm_pending_vblank_event leak in error path for out_fence_ptr
When an out_fence_ptr is provided but DRM_MODE_PAGE_FLIP_EVENT is not
set, a drm_pending_vblank_event will be allocated. If later, there is an
allocation failure or another failure at setup_out_fence(), that event
will not have base.fence set and it will not be released at
complete_signaling().
Release the event and set crtc_state->event to NULL just like in the
DRM_MODE_PAGE_FLIP_EVENT case when there is a failure at
drm_event_reserve_init(). That is, prepare_signaling() releases the
event and there is nothing to be done at complete_signaling(). Use
drm_event_cancel_free() as that will also undo drm_event_reserve_init()
in case it has been called. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: mesh: reset the CSA state when leaving
ifmsh->csa is allocated in ieee80211_mesh_csa_beacon() and only freed
in ieee80211_mesh_finish_csa(), i.e. when the channel switch completes.
Leaving the mesh while a switch is still pending therefore leaks it.
Additionally, ifmsh->csa_role and ifmsh->chsw_ttl have their state leak
in this case, so things can get mixed up in addition to the memory
leak.
Refactor the reset and call it in ieee80211_stop_mesh() to fix it all. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_nat: unregister and release hooks on error
If nf_hook_entries_insert_raw() fails, the NAT hooks get never released,
resulting in a memleak.
Postpone setting nat_proto_net->nat_hook_ops when the hooks are
registered to simplify the error path to decide whether the nat hooks
need unwinding. |
