CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in the maas-api and maas-controller ServiceAccounts within Red Hat OpenShift AI. These ServiceAccounts are granted cluster-wide permissions that exceed their operational requirements. An attacker who compromises the identity of these ServiceAccounts, either through a remote code execution vulnerability or by creating a malicious pod in the same namespace, could exploit these excessive permissions. This could lead to full cluster administrator privileges through the creation of new ClusterRoleBindings or the disclosure of sensitive information by accessing all secrets across the cluster. |
| A flaw was found in Data Science Pipelines (DSP). An attacker with namespace editor privileges can bypass security hardening by submitting a malicious Argo Workflow through the V1 API path. This allows the API server to create pods with elevated privileges, acting as a 'confused deputy' on behalf of the attacker. Successful exploitation grants the attacker node-root access, enabling arbitrary code execution and full control over the underlying node. |
| The Groundhogg — CRM, Newsletters, and Marketing Automation plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.3 via the `create_support_user()` function. This is due to the function identifying the support account solely by matching against publicly hardcoded constants — `user_login` `'groundhogg'` and email addresses `'support@groundhogg.io'` / `'help@groundhogg.io'` — where the `in_array()` email-equality check at line 238 is not a security boundary because any user fully controls their own email value. This makes it possible for an attacker with an account whose `user_login` is `'groundhogg'` and whose `user_email` matches one of the hardcoded support constants to have that account silently promoted to administrator — and additionally to super admin on multisite when the triggering administrator holds `manage_network_options` — resulting in full site takeover. Exploitation requires a two-actor flow: the attacker must first obtain or pre-plant an account with the hardcoded credentials (possible when open user registration is enabled or another account-creation path exists), after which a legitimate administrator must invoke the support-access feature via the `submit_ticket` or `process_send_support_access` entry points to trigger the promotion. |
| The Groundhogg — CRM, Newsletters, and Marketing Automation plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.9 This is due to a missing ownership and capability check on the `user` parameter within the `process_edit()` function, which allows any authenticated user with the `edit_contacts` capability to reassign a contact record's linked WordPress user ID to any arbitrary account without requiring the `edit_users` or `promote_users` capabilities. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with sales_rep-level access and above, to escalate their privileges to administrator by linking a contact to an administrator's WordPress user ID, then creating a note containing the `{auto_login_link}` replacement tag to trigger generation of a valid auto-login permissions-key URL for the administrator-linked contact, and finally visiting that URL to authenticate as the targeted administrator. The auto-login URL is stored in the note content and is readable back by the attacker via the `view_notes` and `add_notes` capabilities that the sales_rep role holds by default. |
| phpMyFAQ 4.2.0-alpha before 4.2.0-beta contains a privilege escalation vulnerability in GroupController::saveCategoryRestrictions() that lets delegated administrators assign categories outside their own scope. Category-restricted administrators can POST to /admin/api/group/category-restrictions with out-of-scope or empty categoryIds to grant groups unrestricted category access. |
| The Ignition Perspective module does not properly validate session privileges when determining Designer-level access. An authenticated user with access to a Vision project could provide their valid Vision session identifier and gain Designer-level privileges. An attacker could exploit these elevated privileges to execute arbitrary code in the context of the Ignition Gateway process. |
| Gitea's collaboration access-mode endpoint accepts the Owner access mode from an authenticated repository collaborator with Admin access. The collaborator can promote their effective permissions from Admin to Owner and then perform owner-only operations, including transferring the repository to their own account. This bypasses the intended boundary between repository administration and ownership. |
| Gitea allows a token with write:user scope to register an attacker-controlled SSH public key on the token owner's account. API requests signed with the corresponding private key authenticate as that account through HTTP Signature without API token scope information, causing route-level token scope checks to be skipped. This converts a user-scoped token into an unscoped API authentication method while retaining the account's normal role and repository permissions. |
| Gitea Runner passes workflow-controlled container options into Docker job container configuration while privileged mode is disabled. Host namespace settings, expanded capabilities, and security profile overrides can remain effective despite Privileged being forced false. A workflow author able to run jobs on an affected Docker-backed runner can use these options to access host namespaces and execute commands as root on the runner host, bypassing the intended container isolation. |
| Improper authorization in the ToolGroupResource and RoleAjax REST/DWR endpoints in dotCMS dotCMS 21.02 through 26.06.22-03 on all platforms allows a low-privileged authenticated backend user to self-assign the administrative layout and self-grant the CMS Administrator role, then achieve remote code execution via a crafted OSGi bundle upload whose BundleActivator executes arbitrary shell commands. |
| Gitea's repository-side team-link API allows a repository administrator who is not an organization owner to attach organization teams to a repository despite RepoAdminChangeTeamAccess being disabled. The endpoint does not enforce the organization's restriction on repository administrators changing team access. This allows unauthorized changes to which organization teams receive repository access. |
| Dell PowerProtect Data Domain appliances, versions 7.7.1.0 through 8.6.0.0 and version 8.7.0.0, LTS2025 release versions 8.3.1.0 through 8.3.1.20, LTS2024 release versions 7.13.1.0 through 7.13.1.60 contain an improper privilege
management vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to elevation of privileges to access unauthorized delete operation. |
| Improper privilege management in Locksettings prior to SMR Oct-2026 Release 1 allows local privileged attackers with root privilege to access data of the tied profile in before first unlock. |
| The macOS version of the DigiD app is not signed with Hardened Runtime. As a result, a local process can load its own dylib into DigiD via DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES. An attacker with local user-level code execution can execute arbitrary code within the macOS version of the DigiD app, thereby gaining access to DigiD data and cryptographic capabilities that the process normally does not have. Reported by Kun Peeks (@SwayZGl1tZyyy) |
| Mitigation bypass in the File Handling component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 153.5, Thunderbird 158, and Thunderbird 153.5. |
| An issue in HTMLy v.3.1.1 allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges via the get_feed function in the admin.php component |
| Privilege escalation in the Panning and Zooming component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 153.5, Thunderbird 158, and Thunderbird 153.5. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfsd: gate nfs2 setacl by argp->mask
The NFSACL v2 SETACL path shares the decoder convention used by its
v3 sibling: nfsaclsvc_decode_setaclargs() fills in argp->acl_access
only when NFS_ACL is set in the request mask and argp->acl_default
only when NFS_DFACL is set, leaving the other pointer NULL because
the argument buffer is zeroed up to pc_argzero before decode.
nfsacld_proc_setacl() then hands both pointers to set_posix_acl()
unconditionally. set_posix_acl(idmap, dentry, type, NULL) is the VFS
"remove this ACL type" operation, so an omitted arm is
indistinguishable from an explicit request to delete that ACL. A
SETACL carrying only NFS_ACL silently strips the directory's default
ACL; mask=0 strips both.
This is the same defect just fixed in nfsd3_proc_setacl(); apply the
same remedy. Gate each set_posix_acl() call on its mask bit and
initialize error to 0 so that a request with neither bit set leaves
the on-disk ACLs untouched and returns success. The out_drop_lock
path and the unconditional posix_acl_release() in
nfsaclsvc_release_setacl() already tolerate the skipped arms. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: require net admin for TIPCv2 netlink mutators
TIPCv2 registers mutating generic-netlink operations without admin
permission flags. Generic netlink only checks CAP_NET_ADMIN when an
operation sets GENL_ADMIN_PERM or GENL_UNS_ADMIN_PERM, so a local
unprivileged process can currently change TIPC state through commands
such as TIPC_NL_NET_SET, TIPC_NL_KEY_SET, TIPC_NL_KEY_FLUSH, and
bearer enable/disable.
The legacy TIPC netlink API already checks netlink_net_capable(...,
CAP_NET_ADMIN) for administrative commands. Give the TIPCv2 mutators
the equivalent generic-netlink gate. Use GENL_UNS_ADMIN_PERM, which
maps to the same namespace-aware CAP_NET_ADMIN check that
netlink_net_capable() performs, so the behaviour matches the legacy
path and keeps working for CAP_NET_ADMIN holders in a non-initial user
namespace (containers).
A QEMU/KASAN repro run as uid/gid 65534 with zero effective
capabilities previously succeeded in changing the network id and node
identity, setting and flushing key material, and enabling/disabling a
UDP bearer. With this patch applied the same operations fail with
-EPERM. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
octeontx2-af: fix VF bringup affecting PF promiscuous state
Mbox handling of nix_set_rx_mode for a VF with promiscuous and
all_multi flags set to false causes deletion of the PF's promiscuous
and allmulti MCAM rules. This occurs because the APIs that
enable/disable these rules operate only on the PF, even when the
mbox request is made via a VF interface.
Guard both rvu_npc_enable_allmulti_entry() and
rvu_npc_enable_promisc_entry() disable paths with an is_vf() check so
that a VF bringing up or tearing down its interface cannot inadvertently
clear the PF's MCAM rules. |
