CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
af_unix: fix struct pid leaks in OOB support
syzbot reported struct pid leak [1].
Issue is that queue_oob() calls maybe_add_creds() which potentially
holds a reference on a pid.
But skb->destructor is not set (either directly or by calling
unix_scm_to_skb())
This means that subsequent kfree_skb() or consume_skb() would leak
this reference.
In this fix, I chose to fully support scm even for the OOB message.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvmet: fix out-of-bounds access in nvmet_enable_port
When trying to enable a port that has no transport configured yet,
nvmet_enable_port() uses NVMF_TRTYPE_MAX (255) to query the transports
array, causing an out-of-bounds access:
[ 106.058694] BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in nvmet_enable_port+0x42/0x1da
[ 106.058719] Read of size 8 at addr ffffffff89dafa58 by task ln/632
[...]
[ 106.076026] nvmet: transport type 255 not supported
Since commit 200adac75888, NVMF_TRTYPE_MAX is the default state as configured by
nvmet_ports_make().
Avoid this by checking for NVMF_TRTYPE_MAX before proceeding. |
| The Treck TCP/IP stack before 6.0.1.66 has an IPv6 Out-of-bounds Read. |
| An issue was discovered in Samsung Mobile Processor Exynos 2400, 1580, 2500. A race condition in the HTS driver results in out-of-bounds memory access, leading to a denial of service. |
| An issue was discovered in VTS in Samsung Mobile Processor and Wearable Processor Exynos 1080, 1280, 2200, 1380, 1480, 2400, 1580, 2500, W920, W930, W1000. A race condition in the VTS driver results in an out-of-bounds read, leading to an information leak. |
| An issue was discovered in NPU in Samsung Mobile Processor Exynos 1380 through July 2025. There is an Out-of-bounds Read of q->bufs[] in the __is_done_for_me function. |
| Media Encoder versions 24.5, 23.6.8 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass mitigations such as ASLR. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
isofs: Prevent the use of too small fid
syzbot reported a slab-out-of-bounds Read in isofs_fh_to_parent. [1]
The handle_bytes value passed in by the reproducing program is equal to 12.
In handle_to_path(), only 12 bytes of memory are allocated for the structure
file_handle->f_handle member, which causes an out-of-bounds access when
accessing the member parent_block of the structure isofs_fid in isofs,
because accessing parent_block requires at least 16 bytes of f_handle.
Here, fh_len is used to indirectly confirm that the value of handle_bytes
is greater than 3 before accessing parent_block.

| A local privilege escalation vulnerability was found on polkit's pkexec utility. The pkexec application is a setuid tool designed to allow unprivileged users to run commands as privileged users according predefined policies. The current version of pkexec doesn't handle the calling parameters count correctly and ends trying to execute environment variables as commands. An attacker can leverage this by crafting environment variables in such a way it'll induce pkexec to execute arbitrary code. When successfully executed the attack can cause a local privilege escalation given unprivileged users administrative rights on the target machine. |
| NGINX Open Source and NGINX Plus have a vulnerability in the ngx_mail_smtp_module that might allow an unauthenticated attacker to over-read NGINX SMTP authentication process memory; as a result, the server side may leak arbitrary bytes sent in a request to the authentication server. This issue happens during the NGINX SMTP authentication process and requires the attacker to make preparations against the target system to extract the leaked data. The issue affects NGINX only if (1) it is built with the ngx_mail_smtp_module, (2) the smtp_auth directive is configured with method "none," and (3) the authentication server returns the "Auth-Wait" response header.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| In the AAC parser, there is a possible out of bounds read due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to remote information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android-11Android ID: A-131430997 |
| RSA BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition versions from 4.0.0.0 before 4.0.5.4 and from 4.1.0 before 4.1.4, RSA BSAFE Micro Edition Suite versions from 4.0.0 before 4.0.13 and from 4.1.0 before 4.4 and RSA Crypto-C versions from 6.0.0 through 6.4.* are vulnerable to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability when processing DSA signature. A malicious remote user could potentially exploit this vulnerability to cause a crash in the library of the affected system. |
| An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Sonoma 14.2, macOS Ventura 13.6.3, macOS Monterey 12.7.2. A user may be able to cause unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution. |
| Exim NTLM Challenge Out-Of-Bounds Read Information Disclosure Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Exim. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of NTLM challenge requests. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated data structure. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose information in the context of the service account.

| An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Monterey 12.7, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, macOS Ventura 13.6, iOS 16.7 and iPadOS 16.7. An app may be able to disclose kernel memory. |
| The issue was addressed with improved bounds checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sonoma 14. An attacker may be able to cause unexpected system termination or read kernel memory. |
| An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Ventura 13.6, tvOS 17, macOS Monterey 12.7, watchOS 10, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma 14. An app may be able to disclose kernel memory. |
| Microsoft Excel Remote Code Execution Vulnerability |
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in TPM2.0's Module Library allowing a 2-byte read past the end of a TPM2.0 command in the CryptParameterDecryption routine. An attacker who can successfully exploit this vulnerability can read or access sensitive data stored in the TPM. |
| A read buffer overrun can be triggered in X.509 certificate verification,
specifically in name constraint checking. Note that this occurs
after certificate chain signature verification and requires either a
CA to have signed the malicious certificate or for the application to
continue certificate verification despite failure to construct a path
to a trusted issuer.
The read buffer overrun might result in a crash which could lead to
a denial of service attack. In theory it could also result in the disclosure
of private memory contents (such as private keys, or sensitive plaintext)
although we are not aware of any working exploit leading to memory
contents disclosure as of the time of release of this advisory.
In a TLS client, this can be triggered by connecting to a malicious
server. In a TLS server, this can be triggered if the server requests
client authentication and a malicious client connects. |
