CVSS v3.1 |
| MISP Guard, a proxy-based security filter for MISP feed distribution, contains a case-sensitivity flaw in multiple policy enforcement checks. The functions check_required_taxonomy_exists, check_required_taxonomy_tags_allowed, check_blocked_attribute_categories, and check_blocked_analyst_data_sharing_groups_uuids performed case-sensitive string comparisons when matching event tags, attribute categories, and sharing-group UUIDs against configured allow/block lists.
An attacker with the ability to create or modify events in a MISP instance (or a connected instance that pushes events through the guard) could craft events using different letter case in taxonomy tag names, attribute categories, or sharing-group UUIDs to bypass the configured security policies. For example, if the policy requires the 'tlp' taxonomy with only 'tlp:clear' allowed, an event tagged 'TLP:AMBER' would not be recognized as belonging to the 'tlp' taxonomy and would therefore not be checked against the allowed-tags list, resulting in the event being forwarded to feed consumers. Similarly, a blocked attribute category such as 'Person' would not match a configured block entry of 'person', allowing the attribute to pass through the filter.
The security impact is unauthorized disclosure of threat-intelligence data that the operator intended to restrict. Events carrying non-allowed TLP (Traffic Light Protocol) markings, blocked attribute categories, or blocked sharing-group associations are forwarded to downstream feed consumers in violation of the configured distribution policy. This undermines the confidentiality controls that MISP Guard is designed to enforce.
The vulnerability is trivially exploitable: the attacker only needs to alter the letter case of a tag, category, or UUID string. No authentication beyond normal MISP event-creation privileges is required, and no user interaction is needed. |
| Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange and telephony toolkit. Prior to Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3, an unbounded `memcpy` of `OGG/Speex` packet data in `format_ogg_speex` can cause a heap buffer overflow and crash Asterisk when reading a file containing corrupted Speex audio. The attacker must create the file and make it available to Asterisk either through sufficiently elevated privileges or by convincing an Asterisk administrator to make it available. Asterisk must also be configured to play that file. This issue is fixed in Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3. |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the
screen-image decoder of TeamViewer Full Client for Linux and macOS prior to
version 15.83 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code by supplying
crafted screen-image data during a remote-control session. The vulnerability
can also be exploited by persuading a user to open a specially crafted
TeamViewer session recording (.tvs). Missing destination bounds checking in the
decoder allows crafted screen-image data to cause an out-of-bounds write to the
image buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction. |
| A double free in XKB SetGeometryin X.Org X Server before 21.1.25 and X Wayland before 24.1.14 could be used by attached clients to cause a crash or potentially code in the x server context. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in HID class driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Frame poisoning in the Layout component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox ESR 115.44. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Remote Access Service Infrastructure allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Winlogon allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| A malicious X server could cause a heap overflow by injecting a large DEVICE_ENABLE reply when processed by libXi before 1.8.4. |
| CImg through 4.0.6 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the _load_bmp() function of CImg.h caused by an integer overflow in the row byte count. Attackers can supply a crafted BMP file with a large header width that wraps dx_bytes, causing crashes or heap memory disclosure into the decoded image. |
| compress provides various compression algorithms. Prior to 1.20.2, the zstd DecodeAll and streaming decoder paths can panic when a crafted two-block frame reaches huff0.ReadTable with an FSE normalized count of 32768 that readNCount stores in int16 as -32768. The wrapped count allows buildDtable to retain stale fse.Scratch decode-table state from the prior block, and nextFast then derives an out-of-range state and indexes beyond the table instead of returning a decode error. Both blocks are required to preserve and then reuse the stale state, allowing untrusted zstd input to crash an application. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.2. |
| snappy-java is a Java port of the snappy, a fast C++ compresser/decompresser developed by Google. Prior to 1.1.10.9, Snappy.arrayCopy(Object src, int offset, int byteLength, Object dest, int destOffset) passes caller-supplied ranges to native memcpy without validating either array, allowing negative or oversized byteLength and offset values to read or write outside array bounds and crash the JVM. SnappyOutputStream.rawWrite and SnappyInputStream.rawRead, including their typed-array write and read methods, pass caller-controlled ranges through this primitive, and typed-array byte-size calculations can overflow int. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.10.9. |
