| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Network File System allows an authorized attacker to execute code locally. |
| A heap buffer overflow in handling GLX
RenderLarge request where dataBytes exceeds cmdlen in X.org X server before 21.1.25 and XWayland before 24.1.14 that could be be triggered by an authenticated X client could cause crashes or code execution in X server context. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Windows Search Component allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Numeric truncation error in Microsoft Windows Search Component allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows DHCP Server allows an authorized attacker to deny service locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: x86/mmu: Cope with the SS bit being set in #NPF exit codes
When running Hyper-V from Windows 11, KVM is seeing the SS bit set
in nested page fault error codes produced for shadowed NPT. The AMD
manual is unclear about when SS is set, including whether it can be set
when SupervisorShadowStackEn (bit 6) is not set in the MISC_CTL field
of the VMCB.
Nevertheless, the unexpected SS bit causes out of bounds accesses in
permission_fault(), seen as either WARNs or UBSAN reports:
kernel: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in arch/x86/kvm/mmu.h:225:27
kernel: index 34 is out of range for type 'u16 [16]'
(in this case, the page fault error code is 34*2=0x44, i.e. SS|U; the
report shows SS|U|W happening as well). Fix the handling of unknown
error codes by dropping SS and (with a WARN) any bits not among those
that permission_fault() expects to receive.
At the same time, given the uncertainty about when hardware sets SS,
follow the processor's behavior when constructing the fault's error
code, and preserve the SS bit as passed to FNAME(walk_addr_generic).
While the behavior is surprising, there's a possibility that Hyper-V
expects it (Hyper-V does not even enable CET unless it finds MBEC/GMET!),
so retain the information when reflecting the fault to L1 instead of
unconditionally discarding it.
Bisection shows that this started happening with commit 687ee95c1b6d ("KVM:
nSVM: enable GMET for guests"), even though SHSTK was available to guests
since Linux 6.18. However, this is not because bit 1 of MISC_CTL (GMET)
somehow enables reporting the SS bit; rather, it's simply that Hyper-V
never uses CET unless GMET is also present. The WARN is reproducible
even with gmet=0, with some hacking of kvm-unit-tests's cet.c testcase
to ensure that the first access to the shadow stack triggers a page fault. |
| Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 is affected by a CSS scoping bypass in HTML messages. rcube_utils::mod_css_styles() did not treat an at-rule prologue such as @layer a; as a selector boundary, and did not handle selectors beginning with ::, so selectors following an at-rule were left unscoped and applied to the whole Roundcube interface instead of being confined to the message body. This allows an HTML message to restyle application chrome for UI redressing and spoofing. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix CSS scoping bypass in HTML messages using at-rules”. |
| A buffer overflow in the gf_ac4_parser_bs function (/media_tools/av_parsers.c) of GPAC Project/MP4Box before 2.5 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted input. |
| Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 13.0.0, PILfont text-width accumulation in src/_imaging.c checks positive glyph advances against INT_MAX but does not check negative advances against INT_MIN. Repeating a signed 16-bit advance of -32768 can therefore execute a signed C integer overflow in xsize += dx, producing a large positive width from a negative mathematical result. Applications that use getlength(), getsize(), or derived layout, quota, serialization, or allocation calculations can experience logic-integrity errors or resource consumption, while the high-level mask path commonly retains a decompression-bomb check. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in TOTOLINK EX200 5.2.3c.7200. This affects the function setStaticDhcpConfig of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi of the component lan.so. The manipulation of the argument Comment results in stack-based buffer overflow. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. |
| Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to versions 42.11.6, 43.7.3, 44.4.3, and 45.0.0-alpha.9, frame data received from the GPU process for webContents.beginFrameSubscription was not fully validated by the main process. An attacker who had separately gained code execution in the GPU process could supply inconsistent frame geometry and cause the main process to read out-of-bounds memory while producing captured frame images, disclosing memory or crashing the application. This issue is fixed in versions 42.11.6, 43.7.3, 44.4.3, and 45.0.0-alpha.9. |
| libexpat through 2.9.0 contains a signed integer overflow vulnerability in storeAtts() in lib/xmlparse.c that allows attackers to trigger out-of-bounds writes via oversized attribute counts. Attackers can supply a multi-gigabyte document with a start tag carrying over 2^30 attributes to overflow attIndex and nPrefixes, crashing applications or corrupting heap memory. |

| Vulnerability in Oracle Java SE (component: Compiler). Supported versions that are affected are Oracle Java SE: 25.0.4.1 and 27. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Oracle Java SE. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Java SE accessible data. Note: This vulnerability can only be exploited by supplying data to APIs in the specified Component without using Untrusted Java Web Start applications or Untrusted Java applets, such as through a web service. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 3.7 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N). |
| Privilege escalation due to incorrect boundary conditions in the Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 115.44, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6. |
| Race condition in the Disability Access APIs component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6. |
| Incorrect boundary conditions in the Audio/Video: Playback component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 115.44, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6. |
| A flaw was found in Redis community. The cluster bus packet parser, responsible for handling PING, PONG, and MEET packets, fails to properly validate string-carrying extensions for null-termination. This oversight allows a remote attacker to craft a malicious packet, leading to an out-of-bounds read when the packet's payload is processed. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in the disclosure of sensitive information or a remote denial of service (DoS). |
