| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i2c: viai2c-wmt: Fix clock leak in wmt_i2c_probe()
In wmt_i2c_probe(), i2c->clk is acquired using of_clk_get(). If any
subsequent operation fails or when the module is unloaded, the clock
reference count is never decremented via clk_put(), leading to a
resource leak.
Switch to devm_clk_get() so that the clock is automatically managed
and released. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/rocket: search every core slot when looking up a scheduler
sched_to_core() walks rdev->cores[] up to rdev->num_cores, and
rocket_remove() decrements num_cores for every core it removes. Unbind a
core that is not the last one and the cores behind it fall outside the
search, so sched_to_core() returns NULL for a core that is still bound and
still running jobs. Neither caller checks the result:
rocket_job_run(): rocket_fence_create(core), core->dev
rocket_job_timedout(): dev_err(core->dev, "NPU job timed out")
Unbinding the middle core of the three on an RK3588 while three clients are
submitting to all of them faults twice, once from the surviving core's
job queue and once from its reset work:
KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000220-0x0000000000000227]
Workqueue: fdad0000.npu drm_sched_run_job_work [gpu_sched]
pc : rocket_job_run+0x234/0x838 [rocket]

KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007]
Workqueue: rocket-reset-2 drm_sched_job_timedout [gpu_sched]
pc : rocket_job_timedout+0xf0/0x1e0 [rocket]
Call trace:
rocket_job_timedout+0xf0/0x1e0 [rocket]
drm_sched_job_timedout+0x188/0x6a0 [gpu_sched]
Both are the third core: the workqueue names are its device and its
core->index, and it was left at slot 2 while num_cores had dropped to 2.
Search all the slots that were allocated, the way find_core_for_dev() now
does. A core that is still bound is then found, and the two callers get
the pointer they already assume they have.
This does not make unbinding one core out of several safe. An open client
keeps an entity pointing at the scheduler of the core that went away:
drm_sched reports it as not ready for every job that lands on it, and the
client waits in dma_fence_default_wait for a fence that will never signal.
Stopping the NULL dereference is what belongs in a fix; the rest wants
more thought. |
| FOG is a free open-source cloning/imaging/rescue suite/inventory management system. Prior to 1.5.10.2253 and 1.6.0-RC-1, an authenticated API-enabled user with uType=1 who possesses both the user's API token and the global FOG API token can use PUT /fog/storagenode/{id}/edit to modify Storage Node user, pass, and ftppath fields because the API validates the credentials but does not enforce an administrator-only role. With storage replication enabled and a usable Storage Node, FOGImageReplicator interpolates those fields into an lftp command executed through proc_open() by the root-running service, allowing the low-privileged user to execute commands as root. This issue is fixed in versions 1.5.10.2253 and 1.6.0-RC-1. |
| A type-handling flaw in the relationship query building of this MongoDB integration library can cause a check for the absence of a related record to be compiled with an identifier of the wrong data type. In an application that relies on such a check to decide which documents a request may see or act on, a user with basic privileges may be served, may change, or may remove documents that the check was intended to withhold. The failure is silent and produces no error. |
| Improper access control in Windows Bind Filter Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Highcharts JS is a JavaScript charting library based on SVG. From 1.0.0 until 4.2.2, Highcharts Dashboards uses chartConstructor as an unchecked property lookup in the Highcharts namespace and invokes the selected member with the component container and chartOptions. An attacker who controls dashboard configuration can select a public utility function instead of a supported chart constructor, causing attacker-controlled options to be copied to the container as properties or attributes. Markup and event handlers can then execute in the hosting page origin when the board renders. No user interaction beyond rendering the board is required. This issue is fixed in 4.2.2. |
