| CVE-2026-98433 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 2.5 Low |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: fix secure device page leak on uv_page_in() failure In kvmppc_svm_page_in(), if uv_page_in() fails after kvmppc_uvmem_get_page() has succeeded, the secure device page is never released. kvmppc_uvmem_get_page() sets a bit in kvmppc_uvmem_bitmap, allocates a kvmppc_uvmem_page_pvt struct, marks the GFN as KVMPPC_GFN_UVMEM_PFN, and calls zone_device_page_init() which sets refcount=1 and locks the page. The subsequent goto out_finalize skips the *mig.dst assignment, so migrate_vma_finalize() is a no-op for the page, and none of those resources are ever reclaimed. Each occurrence permanently consumes one entry from the firmware-bounded secure memory pool (kvmppc_uvmem_bitmap), leaks pvt, and leaves the GFN marked as secure — making it unusable for the lifetime of the VM. The twin __kvmppc_svm_page_out() already handles the analogous uv_page_out() failure correctly with unlock_page(dpage); __free_page(dpage). Apply the same pattern here: unlock_page() followed by put_page(), which chains through free_zone_device_folio() into kvmppc_uvmem_folio_free() to clear the bitmap bit, free pvt, and reset the GFN state. Reachable whenever uv_page_in() returns an error (e.g. UV pool exhaustion) on any POWER9/10 + Ultravisor/PEF system. | ||||
| CVE-2026-109261 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2026-10-18 | 3.7 Low |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-57 and 7.x before 7.1.2-32 contains a memory leak in the GIF encoder because allocated memory is not released when color quantization fails during encoding. Attackers can supply images whose GIF conversion causes quantization to fail, leaking memory with each attempt and degrading availability. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59951 | 1 Modelcontextprotocol | 1 Python-sdk | 2026-10-17 | 7.5 High |
| The MCP Python SDK, called mcp on PyPI, is a Python implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP). From 1.8.0 until 1.30.0 and 2.2.0, stateful Streamable HTTP servers, including FastMCP, MCPServer, Server.streamable_http_app(), and StreamableHTTPSessionManager, retain session entries without an idle expiration or aggregate session-count limit. DELETE, refused opening requests, and completed sessions do not reliably discard their entries, and each entry can retain parsed initialize parameters. A client that can reach the endpoint can therefore create ordinary short requests that grow server memory without bound until restart. Stateless HTTP, stdio, and SSE transports are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.30.0 and 2.2.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-89626 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: sensor: custom: Fix field sysfs group cleanup on failure hid_sensor_custom_add_attributes() creates one sysfs group for each custom sensor field. If sysfs_create_group() fails after some groups have already been created, the function returns the error without removing the previously created groups. Add a local unwind path to remove the groups that were already created. With enable_sensor exposed only after the field attributes are ready, this path can free sensor_inst->fields without leaving enable_sensor able to access pointers into that array. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80987 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NTB: ntb_transport: Reject oversized TX buffers ntb_process_tx() handles an oversized buffer by calling tx_handler() with a NULL data pointer and returning success. ntb_netdev therefore neither frees the skb in its completion callback nor takes its enqueue error path, leaking it. Reject oversized buffers in ntb_transport_tx_enqueue() before acquiring a queue entry and return -EMSGSIZE. The caller retains ownership of the buffer, and the preceding netdev patch frees the skb when enqueue returns this permanent error. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80588 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: reclaim forward-allocated memory on RX path errors After commit 9db5b3cec4ec ("mptcp: borrow forward memory from subflow"), errors in the receive path prior to queueing skbs into the receive queue do not trigger forward-allocated memory reclaiming. Prevent forward memory from growing unboundedly in pathological drop scenarios by explicitly reclaiming memory when skbs are dropped. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74678 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: ax88179_178a: fix skb leak in ax88179_tx_fixup() When the interface has NETIF_F_SG enabled and skb_linearize() fails in ax88179_tx_fixup(), the function returns NULL without freeing the skb. usbnet_start_xmit() treats a NULL return from tx_fixup() as a drop (info->flags does not set FLAG_MULTI_PACKET for this driver), jumping to the "drop" label where it does `if (skb) dev_kfree_skb_any(skb)`. Because tx_fixup() returned NULL, the local skb variable in usbnet_start_xmit() is NULL, so the original skb is never freed — a memory leak on every TX frame whose linearization fails (i.e. under memory pressure). Free the skb before returning, matching the error handling already used for the pskb_expand_head() failure path in the same function. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74625 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: bridge: release template ct on non-IP path A bridge nftables ct zone set rule can attach a conntrack template to an skb before nf_ct_bridge_pre() sees it. For non-IPv4 and non-IPv6 EtherTypes, nf_ct_bridge_pre() currently overwrites skb->_nfct with IP_CT_UNTRACKED without releasing the existing template reference. That makes the per-cpu template, and any temporary templates allocated for concurrent use, unreachable and leaks memory until the host runs out of slab. Reset the skb conntrack state before marking the frame untracked so the existing template reference is dropped on the non-IP path. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74621 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_ct: fix sk_buff leak when the header checks reject a packet tcf_ct_handle_fragments() runs its header sanity checks before handing anything to the defragmentation engine: if (family == NFPROTO_IPV4) err = tcf_ct_ipv4_is_fragment(skb, &frag); else err = tcf_ct_ipv6_is_fragment(skb, &frag); if (err || !frag) return err; tcf_ct_ipv4_is_fragment() returns -EINVAL or -ENOMEM; tcf_ct_ipv6_is_fragment() adds -EPROTO when ipv6_find_hdr() fails. None of them frees or queues the skb, so on that path the caller still owns it. tcf_ct_act() however funnels every non-zero return into the ownership-transfer exit: err = tcf_ct_handle_fragments(net, skb, family, p->zone, &defrag); if (err) goto out_frag; ... out_frag: if (err != -EINPROGRESS) tcf_action_inc_drop_qstats(&c->common); return TC_ACT_CONSUMED; TC_ACT_CONSUMED means the action took ownership of the skb, so no caller frees it - sch_handle_ingress(), sch_handle_egress() and tcf_qevent_handle() all deliberately skip the free for that verdict. The skb is therefore orphaned: one sk_buff plus its data buffer is leaked per malformed packet, unbounded. Note the drop counter is already incremented for these errors, so the statistics claim a drop that never happens. Three different ownership states reach out_frag: today - the skb may be queued by the defrag engine (-EINPROGRESS), already freed by nf_ct_handle_fragments(), or still owned by us. Tell the caller which of those it is, and free the packet ourselves in the last case, which restores the TC_ACT_SHOT behaviour that predated the Fixes: commit. Reproduced on v7.2-rc6 with a 54-byte frame carrying a 40-byte IPv6 header with nexthdr = 0 (hop-by-hop) and nothing after it, on a clsact ingress chain with "action ct". kmemleak reports one leaked 232-byte skbuff_head_cache object plus its 704-byte data buffer per packet; with this patch it reports none. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74495 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igbvf: Fix leak in TX DMA error cleanup If an error is encountered while mapping TX buffers, the driver should unmap any buffers already mapped for that skb. Because count is incremented before each frag mapping, it will always match the correct number of unmappings needed when dma_error is reached. Decrementing count before the while loop in dma_error causes an off-by-one error. If any mapping was successful before an unsuccessful mapping, exactly one DMA mapping (the head) would leak. This bug was introduced by a 2010 fix for an endless loop in dma_error. All other affected drivers have already been fixed. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74427 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Fix netns teardown to cancel the preallocation charger Fix the teardown of an afs network namespace to make sure it cancels the work item that keeps the preallocated rxrpc call/conn/peer queue charged before incoming calls are disabled (i.e. listen 0). Also, if net->live is false because the afs netns is being deleted, make afs_charge_preallocation() skip charging and make afs_rx_new_call() avoid requeuing the charger. | CVE-2026-74397 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: IB/mlx5: Fix transport-domain rollback and initialize lb mutex earlier mlx5_ib_alloc_transport_domain() allocates a transport domain and then may fail in mlx5_ib_enable_lb(). In that case, the allocated TD is leaked. Fix this by deallocating the TD when mlx5_ib_enable_lb() returns an error. Also return 0 explicitly in the no-loopback-capability success branch, and move dev->lb.mutex initialization to mlx5_ib_stage_init_init(). | ||||
| CVE-2026-74396 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mlx5: Fix UMR XLT cleanup on ODP populate failure mlx5r_umr_update_xlt() allocates and DMA maps an XLT buffer with mlx5r_umr_create_xlt(). The buffer is released by the common cleanup path through mlx5r_umr_unmap_free_xlt(). After mlx5_odp_populate_xlt() became fallible, its error path returned directly and skipped that cleanup. This leaks the XLT DMA mapping and buffer. If the emergency XLT page was used, it also leaves xlt_emergency_page_mutex locked. Break out of the loop so execution falls through the existing cleanup path. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74323 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7996: Fix possible token leak in mt7996_tx_prepare_skb() If link_conf or link_sta lookup fails in mt7996_tx_prepare_skb routine, mt7996 driver leaks an already allocated tx token. Fix the issue releasing the token in case of error. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74316 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Handle layout stid in nfsd4_drop_revoked_stid() nfsd4_drop_revoked_stid() has no SC_TYPE_LAYOUT case, so when a client sends FREE_STATEID for an admin-revoked layout stid, the default branch releases cl_lock and returns without unhashing or releasing the stid. The stid remains in the IDR and on the per-client list until the client is destroyed. Remove the layout stid from the per-client list and call nfs4_put_stid() to drop the creation reference. When the refcount reaches zero, nfsd4_free_layout_stateid() handles the remaining cleanup: cancelling the fence worker, removing from the per-file list, and freeing the slab object. | ||||
| CVE-2026-72144 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: dell-laptop: fix missing cleanups in init error path dell_init() initializes several resources after dell_setup_rfkill(), including the optional touchpad LED, keyboard backlight LED, battery hook, debugfs directory and dell-laptop notifier. If a later LED or backlight registration fails, the error path only tears down the battery hook and rfkill resources. This leaves the notifier, debugfs directory, keyboard backlight LED and optional touchpad LED registered after dell_init() returns an error. Add the missing cleanup calls before tearing down rfkill. | ||||
| CVE-2026-19740 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-10-16 | 6.5 Medium |
| The Link Layer Control Procedure (LLCP) implementation of the Zephyr software Bluetooth LE Controller retains the receive node that carried an accepted LL_PHY_UPDATE_IND so that it can later be reused for the host notification when the update instant is reached (llcp_rx_node_retain() in subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/ull_llcp.c, and the node is deliberately not recycled while marked NODE_RX_TYPE_RETAIN). The invalid-PDU arms of llcp_lp_pu_rx() and llcp_rp_pu_rx() in subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/ull_llcp_phy.c completed the procedure via llcp_lr_complete() / llcp_rr_complete() without first releasing that retained node, so the procedure context — the only remaining reference to the node — was freed while the node was still held out of the receive pool. A peer device on an established LE connection can drive this deterministically and without pairing or encryption. Against a peripheral it sends LL_PHY_REQ, receives LL_PHY_RSP, sends a valid LL_PHY_UPDATE_IND with an instant a few connection events in the future (so the node becomes retained), and then, before the instant is reached, sends any other LL Control PDU such as LL_LENGTH_REQ; ull_cp_rx() routes it to the active remote PHY Update procedure, which takes the invalid-PDU path. The mirror case applies to a locally initiated PHY Update followed by an LL_REJECT_IND. In the default configuration (CONFIG_BT_ASSERT and CONFIG_BT_CTLR_ASSERT_DEBUG both default y) the violated invariant in llcp_lr_check_done() / llcp_rr_check_done() triggers a controller assertion, ending in k_oops() (or k_panic()) — a single crafted PDU sequence from radio range faults the device. With those assertions compiled out, each attempt silently leaks one receive PDU node and its memq link; because the controller receive pool is small (PDU_RX_CNT, driven by CONFIG_BT_CTLR_RX_BUFFERS, which defaults to 1) and each attempt costs the attacker only a reconnect, a few repetitions exhaust the pool and leave Bluetooth inoperable until reboot. On releases v3.4.0 through v3.7.x the assertion is never reached, whatever the configuration, so every attempt leaks silently. The impact is limited to availability: the orphaned node leaves no dangling pointer that is later dereferenced and is never delivered to the host, so there is no memory corruption or information disclosure. The same pull request applies the identical release to the Connection Update and CIS-create procedures, whose invalid-PDU arms had the same omission. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53394 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: avoid leaking pre-allocated openowner on unconfirmed retry race When find_or_alloc_open_stateowner() encounters an unconfirmed owner, it calls release_openowner() and sets oo = NULL. Control then falls through past the `if (oo)` guard -- which would have freed any pre-allocated `new` -- and unconditionally executes `new = alloc_stateowner(...)`. If `new` was already allocated on a prior iteration, the pointer is silently overwritten and the previous allocation (slab object + owner name buffer) is leaked. This requires a race: two NFSv4.0 OPEN threads with the same owner string, where a concurrent thread inserts a new unconfirmed owner into the hash between retry iterations. The window is narrow but repeatable under adversarial conditions. Fix by adding `goto retry` after `oo = NULL` so the already-allocated `new` is reused on the next iteration rather than overwritten. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53005 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Drop all SCM attributes for SOCKMAP. SOCKMAP can hide inflight fd from AF_UNIX GC. When a socket in SOCKMAP receives skb with inflight fd, sk_psock_verdict_data_ready() looks up the mapped socket and enqueue skb to its psock->ingress_skb. Since neither the old nor the new GC can inspect the psock queue, the hidden skb leaks the inflight sockets. Note that this cannot be detected via kmemleak because inflight sockets are linked to a global list. In addition, SOCKMAP redirect breaks the Tarjan-based GC's assumption that unix_edge.successor is always alive, which is no longer true once skb is redirected, resulting in use-after-free below. [0] Moreover, SOCKMAP does not call scm_stat_del() properly, so unix_show_fdinfo() could report an incorrect fd count. sk_msg_recvmsg() does not support any SCM attributes in the first place. Let's drop all SCM attributes before passing skb to the SOCKMAP layer. | CVE-2026-52981 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: neigh: let neigh_xmit take skb ownership neigh_xmit always releases the skb, except when no neighbour table is found. But even the first added user of neigh_xmit (mpls) relied on neigh_xmit to release the skb (or queue it for tx). sashiko reported: If neigh_xmit() is called with an uninitialized neighbor table (for example, NEIGH_ND_TABLE when IPv6 is disabled), it returns -EAFNOSUPPORT and bypasses its internal out_kfree_skb error path. Because the return value of neigh_xmit() is ignored here, does this leak the SKB? Assume full ownership and remove the last code path that doesn't xmit or free skb. | ||||
