| CVE-2017-4995 | 1 Vmware | 1 Spring Security | 2025-04-20 | 8.1 High |
| An issue was discovered in Pivotal Spring Security 4.2.0.RELEASE through 4.2.2.RELEASE, and Spring Security 5.0.0.M1. When configured to enable default typing, Jackson contained a deserialization vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary code execution. Jackson fixed this vulnerability by blacklisting known "deserialization gadgets." Spring Security configures Jackson with global default typing enabled, which means that (through the previous exploit) arbitrary code could be executed if all of the following is true: (1) Spring Security's Jackson support is being leveraged by invoking SecurityJackson2Modules.getModules(ClassLoader) or SecurityJackson2Modules.enableDefaultTyping(ObjectMapper); (2) Jackson is used to deserialize data that is not trusted (Spring Security does not perform deserialization using Jackson, so this is an explicit choice of the user); and (3) there is an unknown (Jackson is not blacklisting it already) "deserialization gadget" that allows code execution present on the classpath. Jackson provides a blacklisting approach to protecting against this type of attack, but Spring Security should be proactive against blocking unknown "deserialization gadgets" when Spring Security enables default typing. | ||||

| CVE-2017-8806 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Postgresql | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Postgresql | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| The Debian pg_ctlcluster, pg_createcluster, and pg_upgradecluster scripts, as distributed in the Debian postgresql-common package before 181+deb9u1 for PostgreSQL (and other packages related to Debian and Ubuntu), handled symbolic links insecurely, which could result in local denial of service by overwriting arbitrary files. | ||||
| CVE-2017-8804 | 1 Gnu | 1 Glibc | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The xdr_bytes and xdr_string functions in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.25 mishandle failures of buffer deserialization, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (virtual memory allocation, or memory consumption if an overcommit setting is not used) via a crafted UDP packet to port 111, a related issue to CVE-2017-8779. NOTE: [Information provided from upstream and references | ||||

| An issue was discovered in Honeywell XL Web II controller XL1000C500 XLWebExe-2-01-00 and prior, and XLWeb 500 XLWebExe-1-02-08 and prior. Password is stored in clear text. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5153 | 1 Osisoft | 2 Pi Coresight, Pi Web Api | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| An issue was discovered in OSIsoft PI Coresight 2016 R2 and earlier versions, and PI Web API 2016 R2 when deployed using the PI AF Services 2016 R2 integrated install kit. An information exposure through server log files vulnerability has been identified, which may allow service account passwords to become exposed for the affected services, potentially leading to unauthorized shutdown of the affected PI services as well as potential reuse of domain credentials. | ||||
| CVE-2017-6694 | 1 Cisco | 1 Ultra Services Platform | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A vulnerability in the Virtual Network Function Manager's (VNFM) logging function of Cisco Ultra Services Platform could allow an authenticated, local attacker to view sensitive data (cleartext credentials) on an affected system. | CVE-2017-6709 | 1 Cisco | 1 Ultra Services Framework | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A vulnerability in the AutoVNF tool for the Cisco Ultra Services Framework could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to access administrative credentials for Cisco Elastic Services Controller (ESC) and Cisco OpenStack deployments in an affected system. The vulnerability exists because the affected software logs administrative credentials in clear text for Cisco ESC and Cisco OpenStack deployment purposes. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by accessing the AutoVNF URL for the location where the log files are stored and subsequently accessing the administrative credentials that are stored in clear text in those log files. This vulnerability affects all releases of the Cisco Ultra Services Framework prior to Releases 5.0.3 and 5.1. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvc76659. | ||||
